Screening Sessions

To start the appointment we will listen to your concerns and  carry out a thorough history take to gather important information needed to help provide an individual and relevant treatment plan. 

 We will also carry out an assessment of your feet using our pressure plate scanner.  This will show us in detail the pressures in your feet when standing, balancing and your walking pattern.  

 IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units) from Podoactiva are electronic devices that measure the acceleration, angular velocity, and orientation of a moving object. These devices are used especially in biomechanics and sports performance evaluation.  It is a gait or sporting gesture analysis technology used to collect precise data on body movement. IMUs are placed on the feet and different parts of the lower limb, such as ankles, thighs, and pelvis, to record real-time motion data.

Using 4D motion analysis with Podoactiva we can also measure movements with video analysis to look in more detail at movement patterns relating to specific sports, aswell as joint range of movements and pathologies.

We use the Easybase force plate system which basically measures how the body interacts with the ground.

We measure ground reaction forces, weight distribution, balance and stability, and strength and performance

 Once all tests have been completed we will discuss the outcome with you and formulate a suitable treatment plan for your own specific needs.
